Offshore Paparazzo

After a while I began to realize that I had just been very lucky to get the gig in Mexico City to spy on the futbol player, and the one in the Caymans to spy on Elena the actress. All of the new lucrative offers were in places that I couldn't reach. I had decided long ago that going home was not an option for me without a new solid identity. And the small offers in some of the Latin American countries were either connected to drugs or priced so low it wasn't worth my time.

So to get the money I needed, I would have to find a way to operate in the U.S., specifically L.A. as that's where most of the bedroom paparazzi offers were coming from. And I so loved the idea of spying on the women in L.A. Some of the best pussy in the world was in Hollywood, and I was sure that they had lots of lovely secrets that I would love to learn. Getting past the security and being the only one to spy on them was the sort of challenge that really excited me. I was sure that my birds and dragonflies were up to the task. Yet I couldn't set foot in the U.S.

I could pilot my boat all the way up to California, and launch a bird from the boat. But spending days bobbing off a beach would definitely draw suspicion. Also the U.S. border extends 12.5 nautical miles from L.A. so I couldn't even get near the shore or I would probably be questioned by the Coast Guard. Even worse, with the new, more aggressive international agreements on drug trafficing, they could pretty much stop me even in international waters. And they certainly had the ability to track my boat on radar as it came up from Mexico. After spending time in a Cuban jail, and figuring that I had been found out as connected to the final flight, I was paranoid about what they might do to me if they caught me.

But pussy is an irresistable force, and I always managed to find a way. I finally settled on a plan that would let me take on these gigs and get bedroom pictures of celebrities. I would get a tiny sub that would float just under the surface and take the birds and dragonflies to shore. It would also have to be able to serve as a launching and collection point for the birds. Of course, something like that couldn't just roll up on a beach in L.A. without someone noticing, and it would have to hold steady somewhere for the launch/landing phases. I decided that the sub could attach itself under Santa Monica or Venice Beach Piers and surface in the middle of the night for the bird operations. It could also extend an antenna above the surface to relay the video signals to me. Those piers were really long, and there were a tremendous number of poles coming up from the water. Something fairly small that stayed under the surface during the day, would not be noticed. There was a company in China that made Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) and I contacted them about buying one. It cost about 20 grand, but building one of these myself would have taken me a while. And this one already had a chamber that would work well for hauling the birds and dragonflies.

I just had to make a few modifications to it. One was to modify the hatch at the front so I could open and shut it via software control. I had to do this in order to allow the birds in and out, and for me that mod was pretty simple to build. A more complicated change was to extend the frame so that I could put in a great deal more battery power. I needed the sub to go for about a range of about 50 nautical miles, and that was about 3 times more than it was designed to do originally.

But the hardest part for me was building the sub so it would latch on to the poles under the piers with a small arm. I made the arm so it could extend up out of the water a meter, grip, and then pull the robot partially out of the water. This was needed so the bird could land and take off on a stable platform without getting wet.

The grackle didn't have enough range to fly from the piers twenty miles inland to where most of the great pussy lived. So I reconfigured back into the crow package so I could carry more fuel. Obviously I had built the crow body and wings before, and now that components had gotten lighter, that left more room for the fuel I needed. So that was an operation that was easy enough.

Then it was a matter of working out the kinks until I got the robot to swim to the correct GPS point, recognize a pier, latch on, lift itself up, open the hatch, and notify the bird to crawl out. Getting the bird to land back on the hatch and crawl inside was also something that took a lot work.

Having the bird fly to an exact point and deposit the lenses was something I had done hundreds of times now. But in the past, I had always been able to do sight readings myself by looking at the buildings and instructing the bird on exactly where to go. Now I would need the crow to take pictures of the outside of the house, and take measurements of the houses. Then once I looked over the pictures and the distances, I could instruct the bird on where to put the lenses. So now it would be a process that would take two flights. I also practiced that process in Cancun and got it down to a science.

Lastly, one of the things that I worked on during my year of watching the brides fuck was a transponder. The camera signals are not very strong and needed to be strengthened and relayed in order for me to get them. The grackle handled that quite well, but it meant that it had to constantly be sitting in a tree for me to see the video. I had figured that doing that every day and night when I was spying on the brides would possibly raise suspicion and get the bird caught or shot. So I came up with a small solar powered transponder that would catch the signals and relay them to me. It was quite small, and I rigged it so the bird could carry it and use it's drill to secure the transponder to the top of palm trees. I made it from a solar powered cell phone, put on a better antenna, and of course I replaced the electronics with what I needed to retransmit the video. It worked well, but I needed a more powerful transponder for LA. So I reconfigured and had a set of better transponders ready to deposit in LA palm trees.

At last I had the sub, the crow, the dragonflies, the transponders, and the cameras ready. My plan was to leave Cancun on my boat, go down through the Panama canal and up the coast to Los Angeles. I stopped in Panama City on the way and got myself a passport that would make it appear that I was from Panama. It was a fake of course, but it did at least have my real name and matched my boat registration. I knew that I was going to have to be in and out of Tijuana a lot for fuel and to access the internet. I thought the authorities there might be a bit more aggressive about checking papers than in laid back Cancun. And it felt good just to have some sort of official papers and identity, even if they were fake.

The Pacific is rougher than the Caribbean. I knew that of course, but getting out in the the ocean in my 38 foot boat was pretty scary. The waves rolled even in calm seas, and it seemed to take forever chugging along to get anywhere at all. But I kept heading north to California. And there was the constant fear of drug trafficers, thieves and even pirates. One night, I was anchored off the coast of Nicaragua, and woke up to hear an even smaller boat coming alongside. Fortunately, I had also bought a shotgun in Panama City, and I managed to stumble around and find it pretty quickly. I ran up on deck and started blasting at them without asking questions. I don't think I could have possibly hit them, and I have no idea what they really wanted, but I figured it couldn't possibly be good. They sped away, and I spent the rest of the trip sleeping next to my shotgun. I didn't have any more trouble, but I did learn that I could become even more paranoid.

This experience made me decide to build my first automatic weapon. I started working on a design for guns that could be put in the front and the back of my boat. I could easily program it to recognize another boat pulling alongside me, play a taped warning, and then start blasting. I decided to order some parts as soon as I got a chance and build it.

But at last I made it all the way to California, and I could see the glow of San Diego and then LA off in the distance. I was ready to find the secrets of the beautiful, famous and perverted.
